Panasonic KX-T4000R Cordless Phone

The Panasonic KX-T4000R is a wireless phone that was first sold to users in 1991. The phone's main draw was being cordless so the user did not have to worry about tripping over the typical phone cord that most LAN-line phones had. In order to keep the phone working, the user needed to charge the phone with the receiver, the Panasonic KX-T4000H. The receiver was what received incoming calls and transmitted them to the handheld device, the phone.

The device is a black phone that is opened by pressing a gray button on the side to flip the phone open. The phone has a rubber keypad on the upper part of the housing below the speaker to dial phone numbers with. The lower housing of the phone has a few more rubber buttons that give you basic functionality such as holding a call. Below the lower set of rubber buttons, there is a removable contact list that can have phone numbers written on it for quick reference. At the very bottom of the phone is a microphone that the user speaks into to transmit their voice to whomever is listening. The phone features a rechargeable battery that is charged through the unit's receiver - the Panasonic KX-T4000H.
