QSee QT5716-8G9-1

The QSee QT5716-8G9-1 is a surveillance camera DVR, released in February 2014, that is typically bundled as part of a “security surveillance system” with cameras and a hard drive for recording camera footage. The device is a part of QSee’s “QT” series of devices. It supports up to 16 connected cameras and has both VGA and HDMI video outputs. The device is primarily controlled by utilizing buttons on the front of the unit, with an infrared receiver on the front of the unit also enabling the use of a remote control for input. LED indicators on the front of the unit indicate power, disk activity, recording, and other status information.

The QSee QT5716-8G9-1 DVR is contained in a rectangular black box and is visually similar to a typical DVR or DVD player. It has a QSee logo on the top left of the front panel and has a more specific device identifier on a label on the bottom of the unit. It differs from a typical DVR or DVD player by the presence of additional video input connectors on the back and the control panel on the front.
