This UPS is intended to provide an uninterruptible supply of 230V 50Hz AC (UK) at a peak output of 700VA/400W. The standard unit draws its power from an internal 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid battery. The capacity of this battery defines the duration of the output. At maximum output the internal battery capacity limits the duration of supply to a few minutes at best. The life and reliability of this sealed lead acid type of battery is also likely to disappoint in my experience. This guide details a way of repurposing the unit to increase its usefulness.
