Introduction

This guide will allow you to remove and replace the battery inside of the Logitech Circle. This guide is fairly simple to follow, with only a few screws being between you and the battery itself. However, be sure to be careful handling the Logitech, as the battery and lens bundle is connected to the base of the circle with a ribbon that breaks relatively easily.

    • Wedge the plastic opening tool under the black circle lens to gently pry it off.

    • The lens is only attached with sticky tape and should remove relatively easily.

Just like you said, Very Easy.

Now, where can we buy the battery.

    Thank you for your help.

    • Remove the four 3mm Phillips #0 screws that hold down the final ring. Do not remove the lens/battery bundle yet.

    • The lens/battery bundle is attached to the base by a ribbon cable that can break, so be very careful handling the circle.

    • Gently remove the lens/battery bundle from the base of the circle, being mindful of the ribbon cable.

    • Gently pull the ribbon cable loose from the lens/battery bundle.

    • While this is not an entirely necessary step, it helps to ensure the ribbon cable will not break during the rest of the battery replacement.

I can't find the same battery, what can I get with the same characteristics? Thank you

Step seven removing plug with battery was tough and the socket base holding the plug started to come apart from the board. By accident I discovered that the plug teeth when squeezed finally released the plug from the base, but unfortunately the plug and base came away from the board 😩 how can I get the base to be soldered to the board or is this a lost cause ?

Also is it true that camera will work without the battery if it’s on the o ring at all times? If that is true then I do not need to worry about the plug base damage, right ?

What about circle wireless batter with the unscrewBle lens? I keep getting error in set up that the battery is too low to proceed.

I charged only the battery portion all day. Stil. Same results

Did you figure out the battery?

Mike Arango -

Where did you buy the battery? I can’t find something to replace it with :(

Razvan Ciocanel -

I measured my battery and it is 40mm x 14mm x 30mm. The space for the battery looks like I can fit something as long as 45mm. I can not find anything in the US. Going to try these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-7V-1200mAh-10.... Pretty annoying that I can not find something to drop in. The most challenging part of this repair is going to be wiring these two Lipos together properly. Does anyone know the voltage of the 3 wires? My battery is completely dead so I cannot get a voltage reading. I am going to have to plug the camera in, plug the battery connector in and get the voltage from there :)

Hey, did you manage to make this work? I want to order some battery and try the same thing. I understand that you need 2 from the pictures. How are they tied together? You can not see that from this tutorial.

What kind of battery do I need to buy? Is it aaa?

Kindly does anyone know the link where to buy the batteries?  Thank you

Where to find the battery, that is a very good question. I’m glad that I removed mine from my camera as it had started leaking inside but was not anywhere on the boards. I put it together without the battery and works fine.

So it worked without the battery?

Hi all, I found the battery replacement and followed the guide... Wonderfull, no more battery alarm. Thank you

Great tutorial! Thanks!

My camera is always on its charging ring, but when the battery expired the camera would not function...

So, I've now removed the battery entirely, and the camera lives again!

First of all a BIG thank you to IFIXIT for this guide.

The battery completely failed on my camera.

It went ‘offline’ and then would not work or be re-added using the app. It was dead and I could not get it to show a blue LED or bleep as it should when ‘resetting’ it.

Having read one of the comments above, I took my camera to pieces step by step as in the guide. If you do this,  follow the guide carefully, particularly with regard to the fragile ribbon cable between the camera base and the electronics that you are taking out. When you reassemble the camera, make sure the ribbon cable is fully plugged into its socket.

The only thing I did not do is replace the battery. I left the camera without a battery.

Mine is always on the charging ring, so that does not matter. I never used it with just the battery.

Having taken the battery out and re-assembled the camera, it COULD then be ‘added’ again - it DID show a blue LED and it is now fully working but without a battery.

I hope that helps someone else.

Well I got to thinking…if the camera is on the charging ring at all times then it should work without the rechargeable battery! I tried it and it works. The only thing is if you loose power there is no back up battery. For now this is doable. It would be nice to have the base to the battery plug repaired to the board but it needs soldering, which I have know clue how to do that… have to say the instructions I give. B- bec the pictures are not complete and the base and plug was difficult without any explanation. Thanks! Susan
