Introduction
This guide will walk you through how to change the filter on your YORK TM9Y080B12MP11 Furnace. This guide uses an Aprilaire Model 413 Filter.
It is important to replace the filter in your furnace as overtime dust and debris will build up and will enter the air ducts and home. This can lead to polluted and dirty air which can lead to a variety of issues including potential respiratory issues and triggering of allergies. Typically, furnace filters should be replaced around every month, however this will vary.
The process laid out in this guide will have you turning off the furnace, removing the old filter, inserting the new filter and then turning the furnace back on.
This guide requires no tools or prior experience replacing or fixing items.
