Yunnan Yukun Football Club (Chinese: 云南玉昆足球俱乐部) is a Chinese professional football club based in Yuxi, Yunnan, that competes in China League Two, the third tier of Chinese football. Yunnan Yukun plays its home matches at the Yuxi Highland Sports Center Stadium, located within Hongta District.

History

Yunnan Yukun Football Club was founded on July 7, 2021 under the sponsorship of Yunnan Yukun Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. The club was originally named Yuxi Yukun Steel Football Club and was based in Yuxi, Yunnan.

On March 3, 2022, the club signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yunnan Plateau Football Industry Development Co., Ltd. and Yuxi Science and Education Innovation Investment Co., Ltd. and was renamed Yunnan Yuxi Yukun Steel Football Club. In the same year, the club won the Chinese Football Association Member Association Champions and qualified for China League Two.[1]

On February 2, 2023, the club changed its name to Yunnan Yukun Football Club. On July 7, 2023, the club signed Zang Yifeng and Jiangxi Dark Horse Junior youth player Li Ming. On September 9, 2023, Li Jinyu became the head coach of the club.[2][3][4][5]
