OS: Windows 8.1 Ruby version: ruby 2.0.0p353 (2013-11-22) [x64-mingw32] MySQL/Apache: AMPPS and both MySQL and Apache are running

I am trying to install the mysql2 gem using the following command (from Windows powershell):

gem install mysql2

Here's what I get:

You can refer to Ruby on Rails installation issue (Windows) to get a solution.

NOTE: for 64bit windows, you should use 64bit connector.
