I am working on a Spring MVC project that is using Maven. The server fails to start and throws this error while trying to. I am using Spring 4 and the error occurs when I include this piece of code in mvc-dispatcher-servlet.xml
<mvc:resources mapping="/resources/**" location="/resources/" />
I want Spring to server static resources like JS and CSS without going through Dispatcher Servlet.
