people can use this proxy to browse the web and possibly do bad stuff
with it. It only loads pages via http and https, but it can load any

  • possible duplicate of [Apache gives me 403 Access Forbidden when DocumentRoot points to two different drives](http://stackoverflow.com/questions/89118/apache-gives-me-403-access-forbidden-when-documentroot-points-to-two-different-d) – Paul Sweatte Jul 01 '14 at 01:27
  • @PaulSweatte that question is about a 403 error when two virtual hosts are configured with different drive letters. Doesn't look like a duplicate to me at all: different error, different problem description. – Jeen Broekstra Jul 01 '14 at 04:42

Although this maybe coming at a late hour, however here is something that worked for me anyway. By specifying the location of my python executable application on windows, with the following code like so; #!c:/Python27/python.exe at the top of the cgi file in place of #!/Python27/python.exe -u in your own case and also making sure I had this configuration (in my apache httpd.conf configuration);

<Directory "C:/xampp/cgi-bin">
  AllowOverride All
  Options None
  Require all granted
</Directory>

I was able to get the cgi file to work. hope this helps
