Using AppCleaner will make your life easier. You can use drag an drop for uninstalling any app you have installed on your Mac, and it is free to use.

Simply moving apps to trash leaves many configuration files left on you hard drive. This way you can only remove files stored inside .app folder. MAC also stores configuration files in Library folder. – Pawan Sharma Aug 04 '14 at 05:42

Ok if you want to properly uninstall and keep your mac clean from bits and pieces of system files, you should get app cleaner! I RECOMMEND IT! – Xcoder Oct 03 '14 at 11:01
