Didn't produce the JSON output in logcat

Question

Hi I am developing a webservice based app in which I want to retrieve data from MySQL remote server and display it in logcat. But I receive an error:

Your content must have a ListView whose id attribute is 'android.R.id.list'.

The fact is I didn't mention ListView in my layout file. Herewith I've attached my java files and the logcat report. Response from server side was working well.

what's the purpose of using `ListActivity` and `setContentView` together? `ListActivity` already provides content view — nikis, Apr 07 '14 at 12:57

I think MainActivity extends Activity should resolve your issue

Your content must have a ListView whose id attribute is 'android.R.id.list'

So basically first in your xml file your ListView has a id with @android:id/list.

After that you need to find id for ListView. Make ListView variable global

ListView lv,

Now on onCreate() method.

lv = (ListView)findViewById(android.R.id.list);

There is a problem actually the response from your webservice is JSONArray and you are receiving it in JSONObject.I modify your JSONParser class please the code...
