So I'm aware that with console characters you can return the cursor to the beginning of the current line (\r
) or just a single character (\b
) for overwriting. What I would like to know is I overwrite multiple lines with control characters.
I have a grid of dots, printed to the console:
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
And then go back to the first character and redraw it
. . . . . . . .
. . . 0 . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . .
Not sure which language this will be in, that's why I'd prefer the solution to use characters.
