httpurlconnection post php android

Question

i have a file uploader in android i want to send data (a string) instead, How to do it? , how to use it in php by $_post['data'] ?

upload file working fine

You can use: NameValuePair List to do this. Like this:

List<NameValuePair> nameValuePairList = new ArrayList<NameValuePairList>();
params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("someParam","someValue"));
OutputStream OS = con.getOutPutStream();
BufferWriter writer = new BufferWriter(new OutPutStreamWriter(os,"UTF-8");
writer.write(getQuery(params));
writer.flush();
writer.close();
os.close()
