I am attempting to have flashing text that tells the player to left-click to start the game, but the issue is that whenever I move the mouse, the text goes away entirely and then resumes flashing when I stop moving it. Why is this and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

  • If the game runs in a loop and you have if event.type == event_250ms: if STHB == 1: B(SFGL, (60, 434)) STHB = 2 elif STHB == 2: STHB = 1, wouldn't that mean that STHB is constantly being set to 2 then 1, which would result in a flashing effect. – reticentroot Apr 20 '15 at 18:29
  • Yes that is its intended purpsoe every 250 ms but the issue is that when i move the mouse it stops altogether and the text vanishes. – YUI Apr 21 '15 at 16:24
