I got this error but my game still works. Should I be worried? I can provide the coding that cause this error if needed.

Of course, you should be worried. A null pointer means that a variable that is supposed to contain something is empty and is used. Moreover it is in paintComponent function so it might reflect on the look and feel of the application.
