I have reported this error to Apple a couple times and still have had no luck getting help so maybe someone here can help...

First off when beginning an app using swift all my syntax is white, which I have looked into this from these threads below: Error Xcode 6 --> Error SourceKit terminated. Editor functionality temporarily limited and still no luck...?!

enter image description here

Still every time I try to run the app in the simulator xcode crashes and gives me the below info in the bug report. It appears that thread 13 is the issue but I have no idea what the specific issue is or how to fix it...(if you need more info let me know).

Any help with this or any direction to find help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you!

  • Realistically, without seeing your code it will be difficult to determine what's going on. A good start would be the code that is being executed with the program crashes. It sounds like the app always crashes at the same spot? – justinpawela Jun 25 '15 at 01:31
  • I do not write any code... I just add a label in storyboard to test and it crashes. When I begin a new project the syntax is white before I add any code. I have run the exact same example on a different machine and it works so I believe it is a bug specific to the machine running xcode (which I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times). – user3708224 Jun 25 '15 at 02:13
  • Hmmmm... sorry to hear that. Might be time to backup your files and reinstall Yosemite? – justinpawela Jun 25 '15 at 02:55
  • that may be the best option... thanks – user3708224 Jun 25 '15 at 22:15
