Android web service error in http

Question

In my project , to access the webservice am using http class which is not working properly and my project stops.

Can someone tell me an alternate way for accessing the webservice instead of using http. Thank you in advance

yes @geraldschneider ... network main thread exception.... vimal.. just put your server_conn() method outside of the class and create one asynctask then call that method inside it.... now the final step is calling this asynctask when needed — Angad Tiwari, Jul 24 '15 at 06:31
Review your all imported library and jar files to make sure you have no duplicate file of twitter4j.jar and joda-time.jar. — Surender Kumar, Jul 24 '15 at 10:18
I founded the duplicate file of joda time.jar and deleted it after running it i got the same error.The deleted file automatically appears after compiling the project.How can i solve it — vimal kumar, Jul 24 '15 at 10:54

call the method server_conn() inside AsyncTask , and pass the url

and call the asynctastk using below syntax

You are facing NetworkOnMainThread exception all you have to do is add this code :

StrictMode.ThreadPolicy policy = new StrictMode.ThreadPolicy.Builder()
     .detectAll()
     .penaltyLog()
     .build();
 StrictMode.setThreadPolicy(policy);
