Question

I'm running a script in VBA to save a table as .csv. Here is the code:

How can I tell Excel to dump the unnecessary commas before it writes to the .csv so that when another program opens the .csv it does not get confused by all the commas?

In some cases I find that the code works fine. However when I have run some other scripts on a table it gives me this.

Is there a not NULL value in Excel that is not set on these cells which causes this distorted output?

Excel has gotten into a state where it simply thinks those are extra valid (but empty) columns. You can fix the sheet manually before exporting. This problem was solved by only writing the lines which has data in it to the CSV file. First detect the data scope and write only those cells to the csv. Here is the fix:
