Easiest way i found was using home-brew, it install all basic python and pip too. But feel free to use macports too.

brew install python

I used the answers from the post, if you need more help: How do I install pip on macOS or OS X?

Dunno, but this crossbar installation tutorial seems to cover your topic completely.

Plus: You install your pip locally. Try bin/pip from within the folder you did the curl command.
