I have run my project under the ARM Emulator and get the following error generated from this code:

Error Messages:

  • What went wrong: Execution failed for task ':app:transformClassesWithDexForDebug'.

    com.android.ide.common.process.ProcessException: org.gradle.process.internal.ExecException: Process 'command 'C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_45\bin\java.exe'' finished with non-zero exit value 1

  • Try: Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.

This error happened after I had a HEX Karnel error.

Gradle App

apply plugin: 'com.android.application'

android {
    compileSdkVersion 22
    buildToolsVersion "22.0.1"

    defaultConfig {
        applicationId "com.name.myfirstapplication"
        minSdkVersion 8
        targetSdkVersion 22
        versionCode 1
        versionName "1.0"
    }
    buildTypes {
        release {
            minifyEnabled true
            proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
        }
    }
}

dependencies {
    compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
    testCompile 'junit:junit:4.12'
    compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:22.2.1'
    compile 'com.android.support:design:22.2.1'
}

I need to know which dependence to remove but do understand that it has something to do with jar. files.

The following link has helped gain some understanding: Android Studio - UNEXPECTED TOP-LEVEL EXCEPTION:

I have down graded a java upgrade down to jdk 1.8.0_45.
