java.io.IOException: HTTP request failed, HTTP status: 500 (ksoap2)

Question

I'm using KSOAP2, when sending request to the server and got java.io.IOException: HTTP request failed, HTTP status: 500 in the line httpTransport.call(SOAP_ACTION, envelope) , but server works, I have checked it using SoapUI. What can be the problem?

How does your request dump look like? Is it same as that the wsdl specifies? — K Neeraj Lal, Jul 28 '16 at 14:43
@KNeerajLal Request dump should be the same as wsdl, I'm trying to print in Log requestDump, but I just get an empty string, don't know why it doesn't print xml. — Lucky_girl, Jul 28 '16 at 14:50

Make sure your NAMESPACE, METHODNAME, WSDL and SOAP_ACTION are correct.

Try this code,

Also make sure you have internet permission in the manifest,

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />

when running this type of method twice, say for a license validation, I've seen this error show up the second time. So if you enter an invalid license once, then enter the correct one, I got the IOException 500 status. Any ideas what might be causing this? — whyoz, Jul 18 '18 at 00:11
