I made a Java desktop app in Eclipse and I used JDBC to connect to my database. The app works fine locally but when I update my database connection to an online database server it gives a communications link failiure.
The error I get in Eclipse is:

The app works locally i.e jdbc:mysql://localhost/db1 (WAMP) but not online. I added ?autoReconnect=true at the end of the url but then it gives me this:
