Surface tries to get a performace counter from registry and fails

Question

I get the following error. I understood the the performance counters were corrupted and how to fix it (lodctr /r) but i couldn't get the reason what caused it or how do I know to what key does the surface try to find. It runs on Windows 7 embedded.

any ideas ?

It seems you have two issues

The first one will be solved by command lodctr /r (more info Cannot load Counter Name data because an invalid index -Exception)

After this you may get some other stacktrace
