As Manuel once said, "I know nooothing" about facebook development, I have briefly watched a video about it.

Rather I have a specific problem with a known/by design limitation in fb. I have a fb-group with more than 499 members and I want that everyone in that group should be able to create events so that all group members gets an invitation

Any suggestion on how to solve this? My first thought was have a separate db/list and programmatically send an invitation to all 500+ members. Is this possible?

Better yet, maybe there already exists such an app/whatever?

  • there is no way to invite users with the api (luckily). – andyrandy Feb 17 '17 at 10:30
  • haha, ok, thats a good point.... although, this suggest that it **is** possible http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3346634/how-to-invite-a-users-friends-to-an-event-facebook-graph-api – Cowborg Feb 17 '17 at 10:44
  • oh, i thought about inviting to a group. anyway, why not just try the answers in the other thread then? although, i believe that endpoint has been removed. i really hope inviting to events is not possible anymore either, it can easily be used for mass/spam inviting. also, you can only invite friends who authorized your app too anyway. – andyrandy Feb 17 '17 at 11:21
