When i type the command apt-get install npm i get this error

is there any way i could fix this?

Install node.js because. apt install nodejs

The error is telling you that what you are trying to install is reliant on NodeJS but it is not installed and it won't be installed.

You can see if you actually have it installed by typing node -v into the command line, this should show you what version you have.

You can download and install it from their site here.

  • I would advise uninstalling your current node and reinstalling then, I can see from other comments you say you have version 4.5 but the latest version is 7.10.0. – RemanBroder May 12 '17 at 12:53
