I'm using android studio. I use GeoCoder.getFromLocation for get latitude and longitude from address but I get java.io.IOException: grpc failed.

I try to use this: java.io.IOException: grpc failed

and this: Geocoder Sources for Android API 26 Platform Not Found I unistall Android Studio and reinstall it, but nothing

I don't know what to do

  • Is this on an emulator? The geocoding API is currently not working on emulators (see https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/64418751) – AndrewR Sep 07 '17 at 06:37
  • Yes, this is on emulator, but when will there be a solution? So the only solution is to use a physical device – Francesco.D.B. Sep 07 '17 at 07:39
