I've been trying for a few days to get a lat/lon checker, speedometer, altimeter working but nothing seems to be working. I've tried using Android's built-in locationmanager and google play services. Now I'm back trying Google play services. I followed the online tutorial: https://developer.android.com/training/location/retrieve-current.html#play-services

I'm just trying to display current lat/lon (from lastknownlocation) My android phone (android 6, API 23) doesn't show the lat/lon values on the screen. Anyone help out?

  • I see you found the part that you should check whether permission is granted. Now the interesting question: did you request this permission from user? Because I don't see that happening anywhere. – M. Prokhorov Oct 25 '17 at 13:36
