I'm having an issue trying to run tesseract-ocr on my macbook pro (Sierra). I know this question has be asked before: Tesseract running error, However, none of the listed answers are providing me with any solution.
This is the output I am getting from terminal:
Please make sure the TESSDATA_PREFIX environment variable is set to the parent directory of your "tessdata" directory.
Failed loading language 'eng'
Tesseract couldn't load any languages!
Could not initialize tesseract.
Does anyone know of an alternative solution to this issue?
