I have updated mysql-server(5.7 to 8.0) with this command :

apt-get install mysql-server

And after the install , I get this error :

I don't know how resolve this problem , I can't delete mysql , I have data in.

  • i remove the mysql-server with apt get remove and I install it again , it work but I lose all my data , do you have an idea to update mysql 5.7 to 8.0 without losing data ? – Sam Jul 18 '19 at 13:54
