I'm facing this issue on 'react-native run-android'. I wasnt work with my code like 2 months. Today, i had to work on some changes. But i couldnt run on emulator.

JS server already running.
Building and installing the app on the device (cd android && ./gradlew installDebug)...

Try to change the compileSdkVersion to:

compileSdkVersion 28

fontVariationSettings is api level 28. Source
