A client of mine is running Windows 2016 Server and our ASP application is deployed on it. But when I try and browse the site, the CSS gets a 500.0 error and won't load.

Static content is installed on IIS.

2019-10-09 16:33:27 ::1 GET /client/Content/bootstrap.css - 9013 - ::1 Mozilla/5.0+(Windows+NT+10.0;+Win64;+x64)+AppleWebKit/537.36+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Chrome/77.0.3865.90+Safari/537.36 - 500 0 1346 3

I've read a few articles related to this, but I'm still not able to figure out how to resolve it.

  • What about the rest of the app? Other content? – mxmissile Oct 09 '19 at 16:44
  • Do you mean this one? I have just search and find this result. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28400717/iis-8-5-is-not-serving-js-css-and-image-files-static-content – NP90s Oct 09 '19 at 16:50
  • JS and CSS fail to load with 500.0, the rest of the HTML on the site displays fine. I read: stackoverflow.com/questions/28400717/… – NP90s but that is related to 401 permission issues. – Tristan Oct 09 '19 at 16:53
