I'm currently just a begginer with ASP.NET.

I've implemented a Webapp that uses EF6 on a computer A.

I now have to deploy it on an IIS server on another computer (Let's call it computer B).

Whenever I try to access a web page for which it's controller need access to the database I get the following error:

I have recreated the database on computer B using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

Could someone show me an easy way to make the WebApp use the database that I've setup on computer B

Thank you :)

The problem is: `A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server cannot be found or cannot be accessed. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 52 - Unable to locate the installation of a Local Database Runtime. Check that SQL Server Express is installed and that the local database runtime functionality is activated` And there is a plenty of questions about this issue. Try google it. Basically, it's a **connection** prob. – Kaj Mar 06 '20 at 13:44

Hi @Ismail Haouam, welcome to Stack Overflow. It seems this might be a common issue and a quick Google search you will find some results like this one: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18060667/why-am-i-getting-cannot-connect-to-server-a-network-related-or-instance-speci – GRU119 Mar 06 '20 at 13:49
  • Check your web.config and make sure the connection string points to your database server. Also check that your web server can connect to the database server. – Duston Mar 06 '20 at 14:49
  • You need to configure connection of new database in web.config file. – Dip Surani Mar 06 '20 at 20:36
