Why can I not switch the navigation drawer to the right side?

I have a problem that I cannot switch the navigation drawer to the right side

Hope you understand my problem.

When adding:

tools: openDrawer = "start"
Android: layout_gravity = "start"

Actually, I see the direction turning to the right, but the application stops
