I have a nodejs application. I am trying to push it to heroku and execute it in heroku. While deplying via heroku CLI, I am facing an issue. Please help. Thanks. I am aware that this can be solved in local system with the help of git config --global url."https://".insteadOf ssh:// but how do I solve it while deploying to Heroku?

Just ran into the same problem. Still don't know how to fix it properly. But a quick fix is manually to replace ssh://git@github.com/xxxx/xxx.git with https://github.com/xxxx/xxx.git in package-lock.json file.

Another workaround, based on this comment in the NPM repository, is to configure Git so that it is forced to use https instead of SSH:

git config --global url."https://github.com/".insteadOf git@github.com:
git config --global url."https://".insteadOf git://
