Problems with testing in project with gradle

Question

I want to use junt 4 for testing in my project, i added new class and one method to it for testing, when i try to tun it, i have this problem, how should i fix it. When i try to run test i have a problem:

I don't now how to fix it, please help me!

Class with tests:

import org.junit.Assert;
import org.junit.Test;

public class SimpleTest {
    @Test
    public void test() {
        Assert.assertTrue(true);
    }
}

Try adding the following to your build.gradle. The problem is Gradle doesn't know how to find the tests as you haven't specified a test runner.

test {
   useJUnit()
}

Oh, I just noticed. Is that a java module? I've not had any experience with those. Why opt for that in favour of gradle modules? – afterburner Jul 01 '20 at 10:47

Sorry, for junit 4 it seems it's `useJUnit()`. I've updated my comment above, checked out your code, and it seems to be running fine. Can you please confirm? – afterburner Jul 01 '20 at 10:58
But it doesn't help, i tried to use non-module structure, but without it i can't compile my project into distribution version using jlink, so may be you help me to solve this problem, because i need to run my project without idea, i tried many ways. – Кирилл Мололкин Jul 01 '20 at 11:29
