"The ActionCable connection is not open! `this.isActionCableConnectionOpen()` must return true before calling `this.stimulate()`"

Question

I'am getting the above error while accessing stimulus reflex with rails 6.

You should identify the connection with current_user to open the connection. Assuming you are using devise for authentication.

Here is what you should do.

    identified_by :current_user

      self.current_user = find_verified_user
    end

    def find_verified_user

        reject_unauthorized_connection
      end
    end
  end
end

In your initializers, create warden_cookies.rb

Warden::Manager.after_set_user do |user, auth, opts|
  scope = opts[:scope]
  auth.cookies.signed["#{scope}.id"] = user.id
  auth.cookies.signed["#{scope}.expires_at"] = 30.minutes.from_now
end

Warden::Manager.before_logout do |_user, auth, opts|
  scope = opts[:scope]
  auth.cookies.signed["#{scope}.id"] = nil
  auth.cookies.signed["#{scope}.expires_at"] = nil
end
