Pip cannot install PyTorch with Python 3.8.5

Question

This is the error message I get when trying to install PyTorch!

I'm using Python 3.8.5 and the newest version of pip. I'm doing this within Bash for Windows, I really just want to know what "DGEBAL" and "DGEHRD" etc. means.

The issue is more likely with a MS C++ redistributable, try with another Python version. — RMPR, Nov 07 '20 at 19:23
Looks like you are missing the tinyurl package. Try pip install tinyurl first. And use —user option if you don’t have admin privilege. — uhmas, Nov 07 '20 at 19:42

PyTorch isn't capable of being installed just via PIP. You need to go to https://pytorch.org/ and select the version you need and run the command it gives you.

"pip install torch" doesn't work because torch needs to be more defined than that.

Make sure you have the latest pip installed and try to run cmd as admin.
