Exporting html table with images to xlsx - Javascript

Question

I'm trying to export an HTML table such as below as an excel file(.xlsx).

I went through several posts asking the same question but all solutions either produced a (.xls, this prompts an error) file or the image displays as below in excelImage displayed as 'linked image cannot be displayed'.

Plugins and external scripts do not seem to work properly as well. i have tried TableExport, TableToExcel, and several others but they mostly produced errors such as '{{function from external script}} is undefined' although the script tag can be seen in the inspect tab.

The images used are in base64 and the framework is vuejs.

Is there any way to do this properly?

It does generate an excel file but the extension throws an error and the image exported is not viewable. I've attached an image of this result in the question. Most solutions from other posts generate this exact result. — newbieInProgramming, Jan 20 '21 at 07:26
