I'm trying to run my flutter app in debug on my mac, but i keep getting this error:

    warning: The iOS Simulator deployment target 'IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET' is set to 8.0, but the range of supported deployment target versions is 9.0 to 14.4.99. (in target 'gRPC-C++-gRPCCertificates-Cpp' from project 'Pods')
    warning: The iOS Simulator deployment target 'IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET' is set to 8.0, but the range of supported deployment target versions is 9.0 to 14.4.99. (in target 'gRPC-C++' from project 'Pods')
    warning: Capabilities for Signing & Capabilities may not function correctly because its entitlements use a placeholder team ID. To resolve this, select a development team in the Runner editor. (in target 'Runner' from project 'Runner')
Could not build the application for the simulator.
Error launching application on iPhone 12 Pro Max.

This is my Podfile:

# Uncomment this line to define a global platform for your project
platform :ios, '10.0'

# CocoaPods analytics sends network stats synchronously affecting flutter build latency.
ENV['COCOAPODS_DISABLE_STATS'] = 'true'

project 'Runner', {
  'Debug' => :debug,
  'Profile' => :release,
  'Release' => :release,
}

def flutter_root
  generated_xcode_build_settings_path = File.expand_path(File.join('..', 'Flutter', 'Generated.xcconfig'), __FILE__)
  unless File.exist?(generated_xcode_build_settings_path)
    raise "#{generated_xcode_build_settings_path} must exist. If you're running pod install manually, make sure flutter pub get is executed first"
  end

  File.foreach(generated_xcode_build_settings_path) do |line|
    matches = line.match(/FLUTTER_ROOT\=(.*)/)
    return matches[1].strip if matches
  end
  raise "FLUTTER_ROOT not found in #{generated_xcode_build_settings_path}. Try deleting Generated.xcconfig, then run flutter pub get"
end

require File.expand_path(File.join('packages', 'flutter_tools', 'bin', 'podhelper'), flutter_root)

flutter_ios_podfile_setup

target 'Runner' do
  use_frameworks!
  use_modular_headers!

  flutter_install_all_ios_pods File.dirname(File.realpath(__FILE__))
end

post_install do |installer|
  installer.pods_project.targets.each do |target|
    flutter_additional_ios_build_settings(target)
  end
end

At first i was getting this error and the solution of that question resolved it, but now I'm stuck and I am realy struggling whit this one.

Any suggestion on how I can fix it?

  • Looks like you got a couple of files that set the variable IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET to 8.0. Perhaps those can be inspected and modified. – Richard Barber Dec 24 '21 at 04:15
  • Try to have a look at your Podfile and those files where IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET is set to 8.0, try to make it 9.0 and see if the error goes away. It's likely you will get different errors after that – Pedro Santangelo Dec 24 '21 at 05:46

    just simply comment `platform :ios, '10.0'` in pod file. and reinstall the pod using `pod install`. Let me know after applying. – Sagar R Anghan Dec 24 '21 at 10:06
