How to link library scalapack and blacs while compilation

Question

When compiling a fortran code, I set

FCL         = mpiifort -qmkl=sequential
LLIBS      += -L$(MKLROOT)/lib/intel64 -lmkl_scalapack_lp64 -lmkl_blacs_intelmpi_lp64

but when compiling code, it always links to libmkl_scalapack_lp64.so, not libmkl_scalapack_lp64.a. Then error appears,

What is the correct way to link these two libraries?

It is still not clear what ifort command was executed. But you are probably missing the main part of MKL that contains BLAS. Follow the Link Advisor. — Vladimir F Героям слава, Mar 12 '22 at 10:00
