I have a layout file which I am accessing and editing through the back end then CMS then layouts. When I apply this layout to the home page with the URL of / the changes are not appearing on the front end. When I apply this layout to all other pages its showing. Anything I am doing wrong?

The home page is not displaying the layout but the other pages are. Any suggestions?
