Test in my virtual machine Ubuntu18, single host equipped with 15 osds Parameter as follows:
(n,k)=(14,10), d=13
so if I shut down an osd, the only left one will be chosen to store the repaired data, without extra data migration
Comprision with RS(14,10)
For small objects, 256 x 8MB, clay repair time is 1'50, while RS is 1'05
Then I change object size to 512MB, number is 8, to let clay behave better, but it didn't. The result is similar, clay is 3'31, while RS is 1'55
So why does clay plugin doesn't get a lower repair time as it had promised? Does it related to stripe_width? Thank u for an answer
