I am very new at coding and want to understand the difference. I don’t really understand coding yet, but am learning the basics. Thanks in advance!

  • How familiar are you with abstract-algebra in mathematics? (Oversimplification warning:) A [tuple](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuple) is a single object that contains one or more _named values_ (each named-value is a tuple-element), while a "list" is basically a resizable mathematical [vector](https://w.wiki/5q$E) (which is a sequence of unnamed elements). (Note that "vector" does not specifically mean the middle-school definition of "quantity with magnitude and direction": if you think more _generally_ then that middle-school definition is a 2-element vector). – Dai Oct 22 '22 at 00:06
