On the attempt of creating a virtual Python Environment in Pycharm I keep getting a window that solely displays the following error message: "Failed to create a virtual environment"
Now, I have looked up and followed the instructions in this stack overflow post: Failed to create virtual environment in PyCharm Because I am getting the exact same window. However, none of the answers solved my problem, these included:
installing virtualenv via pip
upating pip
updating python
I have python3.10 installed on my Mac, however PyCharm shows Python3.9 which might be part of the problem?
Im using a MacBook Pro M1 Pro 2021 16" 16GB MacOS Version 12.6
