I'm currently making a program that will pop up on my computer when it is someone's birthday.But only on their birthday because i'm not skilled enough yet to make it a program that runs in the background. However, i just don't know where to look for help in implementing the time sensetive part of the program. What would be useful for me would be some resources such as videos or textbooks on this type of topic of just a detailed comment.

I tried to watch some videos on it but the concepts they were using were too far above what i have learnt; i've gotten up to importing libraries for Physics, classes and ADTs.
