Kaggle has five tiers, from Novice to Grandmaster. As you know, the tiers increase according to the color and number of medals obtained. I have two questions about the Tier.
Medals and tiers for Code in competitions Competitions have a Knowledge one, not a prize one, and the notes on them say the following. "Tiers This competition does not count toward tiers". Does this mean that in competitions annotated in this way, no matter how many Up votes a submitted code receives and how many medals it wins, the Tier does not increase?
Medals and Tiers for Code in Datasets In Datasets, there is no note about Tiers as mentioned above. Up votes does not affect to a Tier as well?
I have been following the medal history of some expats, and it seems to me that the tier increases even with Q1 and Q2 above, so I am not sure about the rules. Thank you in advance for your help.
