Does a child web page inherit the text boxes which were there in the master web page?

Question

I create a master with three labels which have three text boxes to take the input on console.. Now when i tried to inherit that master into child any how the layout is getting inherniated but inside the .cs file in a click button method when i tried to write "TextBox1. Text;" its throwing an error:The name 'TextBox1' does not exist in the current context
