"pip install pygame --pre" successfully installed, but still cant use in pyCharm 3.11

I've installed pygame --pre using the cmd but for some reason the PyCharm program still doesn't recognize the package 'pygame' when I'm trying to import it. Would appreciate any help, please.

Try pip3 install pygame may be you are using python3 – Developer Jan 20 '23 at 19:38
Most likely Pycharm uses a different Python installation than the one you installed pygame in – Rabbid76 Jan 20 '23 at 19:39
I've had this issue before when using a venv or pipenv with pycharm. Please post the error message that is shown in the terminal when you run the script – TeddyBearSuicide Jan 20 '23 at 19:40

Yea theres your issue, your virtual env isnt being setup properly. @Rabbid76 can you open this question back up? Those duplicate links dont solve this issue. – TeddyBearSuicide Jan 20 '23 at 20:40
