I would love A LOT to add a pause menu to this game, however I would like when I put the pause menu, in the music it takes the drums out of the music, and when I re-enter the game the drums in the music starts again, can this be done?

    Please clarify your specific problem or provide additional details to highlight exactly what you need. As it's currently written, it's hard to tell exactly what you're asking. – Community Mar 20 '23 at 08:09

You can use the pygame.mixer library which has many good options for playing multiple sounds at the same time and stopping them. I would recommend checking out the docs at: Pygame Mixer Docs. You can import a sound, put it on a channel, and start and stop that channel at anytime in the code.

For example: If you had a sound file called: 'Drums.mp3' or something, you could use it as:

#get the sound file

drums = pygame.mixer.Sound('Drums.mp3')

#play it

drums.play(-1) #play it until stopped

paused = False

#Game loop

while True:
    #Other code.......

    if paused: #Stop it if it's paused
        drums.stop()
    elif not paused and drums.get_num_channels() == 0:
        drums.play(-1) #Start playing again

This is a very simple and limited example but you should get the idea. Again, if you read the docs a little, it will be pretty easy to get it integrated fully.
