Context: Im trying to use NFC tags and android scanners to create monday.com entries, Parts order requests specifically. I cant find a way to send JSON data or POST using a NFC card to use the API, but I can send emails.

Question On Monday.com there is an option to create items by sending an email. You send an email to a specific email address and an item is created in a board.

However, as far as I can tell, the subject of the email populates the first column, and the body of the email populates an "update" of the item, but no other fields can be populated using automation features on monday.com as far as I can tell.

I am hoping to be able to use data in the email body to populate other columns. Perhaps using some delimiter in the text.

So, for example, if the body of the email was:

Parts Request \ 4 \ Aperture Labs \ Quantum Tunneling Device \ 175346664 \ Research Dept

The text between the backslashes(or some other char) would go into separate columns:

Type \ Quantity \ Distributor \ Part Name \ Part Number \ Deliver To

I have looked through all the features and cant see a way to do it, but am hoping I missed something. Formulas can combine data from columns but not the other way around.

Any one have an idea of how I can achieve this? Hopefully without building a custom solution, but if that's what I need to do I will.

Thanks!
